Squidoo is a great way to build online reputation, in case you did not hear about it you should seriously consider checking it out. Squidoo has a Very Good Google ranking and your small mini-sites will rank pretty well pretty soon.
In case you want to earn a few bucks, You Can monetize your Squidoo sites pretty heavy, but that should not be your main focus. In case you have some sort of online business, you should appreciate the links you can point to your own site.
Keyword intensive site names work best, you can go for 'yourkeywordmeetsanotherkeyword' and point to your main site and add another two deep links to your site, it's such a great way to built a simple site, it's done in 15 minutes, will be found in Squidoo the next day and rank in Google very fast, it will even rank better if you take the time to build a few, very few links actually. Some lenses even run without such a link building process, don't ask me how, but it works for some people.
In case you are only after the link juice don't bother updating your lenses, just create them and look after them a few days later and then maybe 2 weeks later. Make sure you update them and have a high keyword density, this should make sure they will rank in the search engines. Google loves Squidoo, and it will help you jump-start your small niche sites without the hustle to build a niche site network, you can build a small Squidoo network and profit from the relations you create there.
It's like riding a Bmx Bike, once you get the hang for it you don't bother riding on the streets alone, you start to do tricks, jump rails and try to cross everything. You don't bother about the basics, such as a built Squidoo lens, as you stroll along the park.

why do some pro bmx riders choose not to use A cable detangler?
I noticed this watching bmx clips on utube.Not all but A lot of pro riders seem not to use detangelers.Why not?
1) Weight
2) Linear cable. It allows you to barspin/tailwhip, yet doesn't lock up the brakes like a regular cable would.
