mini-14 double fire 2 shot fire ?
i saw a poor mans trick for the mini-14 where you put staples where the hammer rests and it causes a double fire with no modifications to the gun. Its not full auto but is it legal to do double fire and put those staples in there ? your not changing the gun no parts are removed or changed this looks like a real gray area its hard to even find info on this subject? I do not want to go to jail if this has clearly been banned. its kinda like bump fire where you loosen the trigger and the guns force and recoil causes you to keep firing not auto but some dumb politicians think it is. No gray area about it. Any modification (or even malfunction) that makes a gun fire more than one round per pull of the trigger is illegal. It doesn't matter if it's grandpa's old over under shotgun that fires both barrels when you pull the trigger or if you modified an ar to shoot full auto. There is even one guy that was arrested and sentenced to 10 years because his ar slam fired on a guy that was looking to buy it from him. The buyer contacted the atf. The atf confiscated the gun, and in test firing the ar, they managed to make it slam fire once, with a certain soft primered ammo, two rounds total, then the gun jammed. The seller claims the gun had never done this before. They got him for transferring an automatic weapon without a license. The appeal was denied. Bump firing is legal simply because the trigger is pulled for each time the gun is fired. The trigger is reset, then pulled again. There are a million tricks to make a mini shoot fast, but most are dangerous or illegal. And frankly, spending the next 10 years snuggled up to bubba just doesn't appeal to me. Long story short, if there is any modification that makes your gun shoot more than one shot per pull of the trigger, it is considered an automatic weapon by the atf.
