should i get a canister filter or not?
i would like to upgrade to a canister filter...i have a 55 gallon tank but if i get one i would like one that is for 100 gallons incase i want to get a larger tank. are canister filters good or bad....what brand should i buy?
i have cannister filters in all of my larger tanks. i personally like fluval systems. i have 2 on my 150 gallon, 4 on my 350 custom and 3 on both of my 200s.. i have smaller tanks that i run either bio filters or just plain old whisper filters. i do like my fluvals though but keep in mind that you may notice a bit of a change in your power bill depending on how many tanks you have. i have 19 total and my power bill is a tad over 600 dollars-but i am running some huge tanks with lights,thermometers, and other gadgets to keep my finned friends going. good luck-enjoy!
